New Management Hires Marketing Team and Initiates Rebranding Effort
TUNICA, Miss., Friday, June 20, 2008 – Changes are beginning to take place at the Casino Factory Shoppes in Tunica, Miss. The Shoppes, located on Highway 61 across from the new Harrah’s Casino has new management, a new marketing team, a new logo and a new Web site. Pennsylvania-based Stoltz Management purchased the property in the fall of last year, and has been steadily instituting changes to more effectively market the outlet mall as a regional shopping destination. “For many people traveling to Tunica from Memphis and the surrounding area, the casinos are the primary entertainment draw. However, shopping has become a major leisure activity across the nation, and we want to refocus Mid-South consumers’ attention to the fact that there is an outlet shopping option in this area, that’s close by, with prices significantly discounted from retail,” Jeff Price, Stoltz Management’s Director of Malls said. To that end, Stoltz has brought a marketing manager on board at The Casino Factory Shoppes to oversee the rebranding effort. Robyn James, a Tunica-native, joined the management team in January. She was previously with Tunica National Golf and Tennis. In addition to James, Stoltz has also hired Walker + Associates, a Memphis, Tenn.-based advertising and marketing firm to assist in the rebranding effort. “We’re excited to be working with the Casino Factory Shoppes, helping to bring a new look and a new perspective for consumers to choose The Shoppes as an alternative to traditional mall shopping in the region,” Andy Windham, Walker + Associates Chief Operating Officer said. “As prices continue to rise in the current economy, consumers will be able to see significant savings by choosing to outlet shop in Tunica.” -more- Changes at Casino Factory Shoppes/Page 2
Windham said, “We believe the new logo we’ve developed, gives the Casino Factory Shoppes a fresh, more upscale and refined look.” James said, “We’ve launched a new Web site that reflects our new logo design and in the coming months we’ll also be making changes to our signage and our advertising and marketing efforts as well.” Shoppers can check out the new Web site developed by Mallfinder Network at: www.casinofactoryshoppes.com. She added, “We’re looking forward to even bigger changes down the road as we hope to bring some new, more upscale name brand outlet stores to The Shoppes.” Casino Factory Shoppes features more than 30 brand name outlet stores including Gap Outlet, Old Navy, Nautica Outlet, Reebok Outlet, Zales The Diamond Store Outlet, Carter’s Childrenswear and The Children’s Place. The outlet center is located on Hwy. 61, just 12 miles south of Memphis, at the intersection of Harrah’s Parkway South.
